AGVs and AMRs pack battery, drives, lifters, LiDAR and wireless modules into a vibrating, space-starved chassis — far harsher on harnesses than fixed equipment.

1. Battery to drive: short and thick

Size main discharge runs by continuous current, keep them short and paired to shrink loop area; shield this segment first — it is the biggest noise source on board.

2. Lifting mechanisms: high-flex is mandatory

Lift modules flex the harness every cycle; ordinary PVC fails after tens of thousands. Use high-flex wire with service loops, verify flex life on fixtures, and use chain-rated cable in cable chains.

3. Charging: polarity and contact protection

Contact-charging systems need reverse-polarity protection and current margin, with accessible fuses. XT60-class connectors are common at AGV charge ports — mind cycle life.

4. Signal lines: route away, twist, shield

Keep LiDAR/IMU/encoder signals at least 50mm from power runs, twist differential pairs, shield and ground them. Mount antennas clear of metal and noise.

5. Design for service

Modular connectors for quick swaps, labels matching drawings, accessible nodes. AGVs run 24/7 — serviceability is availability.
